To our Speedway Karting family,
First and foremost, I want to sincerely thank each and every one of you who has supported Speedway Karting over the years. Whether you were a sponsor, donated your time or resources, volunteered behind the scenes, or most importantly, brought your child out to race, your support has meant everything. Speedway Karting would not have existed without all of you.
It is with a heavy heart that I share that Speedway Karting will not be operating this season.
As many of you know, the new partnership at the Speedway has brought many changes and challenges. While this was not an easy decision, I truly believe it is the right one for the long-term future of our karting program.
The good news is that this is not goodbye.
My goal is to use this time to build a stronger foundation for Speedway Karting. I want to assemble a dedicated team, create a schedule that works better for families, develop rules that align with other local tracks, and secure additional sponsorships that will help make the program even better for our young racers.
These kids are the future of our sport. They are the future racers of Speedway, and they deserve a program that gives them every opportunity to learn, grow, compete, and most importantly, have fun. My vision is to bring back a karting program that is organized, competitive, affordable, and something our entire racing community can be proud of.
In the meantime, we don't want the kids to lose valuable seat time. We plan to open the Speedway kart track one evening each week for free practice sessions. This will give drivers an opportunity to continue practicing, learning, and enjoying the sport while we work toward rebuilding the program.
If you're interested, please reach out to Missy Overlock and let her know what day and time would work best for your family so we can find a schedule that accommodates as many drivers as possible.
I also welcome your positive feedback and constructive suggestions. If you have ideas that could help make Speedway Karting stronger in the future, I'd love to hear them. This program has always been about our racing families, and together we can build something even better.
Thank you again for believing in Speedway Karting. Your support, encouragement, and patience mean more than you know. I truly appreciate every family that has been part of this journey, and I'm excited for what the future holds.
This isn't the end of Speedway Karting—it's simply the beginning of a new chapter. I look forward to seeing these young racers back on the track soon.
