While we have a very high-level dance program, we also offer amazing fitness classes, an after school program, a pre-school arts program, and more! Our mission is to provide outstanding dance education to everyone--whether you’re looking for the fun and fitness of a recreational class or a pre-professional program. We believe the gift of dance training will last a lifetime, for lessons learned in class are not simply those that build strong technique, but also build strong character.

✨ Yesterday was Women’s Equality Day

Let’s celebrate with a throwback from last year💃✨

This dance choreographed by Brienne was called Suffragette. Women that changed history, leading to the 19th amendment and a woman’s right to vote! 💪

This dance made it to Kids Artistic R***e showcase in 2025 and for those who don’t know, every Hermitage Dance Academy dance that makes it to showcase, we change the ending. So watch til the end because these ladies had us in tears, taking us back to a moment in time…when women casted their first vote.

I’m looking for the next Program Director for Hermitage BEST Kids, our after-school program, and I need your help finding the right person...

We have built something pretty special. Every afternoon, approximately 70 kids come through our doors to spend their time learning, creating, moving, making friends, and—most importantly—being surrounded by adults who genuinely care about them.
Now I’m looking for the right person to lead that experience every day.
I need someone who absolutely LOVES kids—but this role requires more than that.
I’m looking for the person who walks into a busy room and naturally sees what needs to happen.
The person who is organized, proactive and dependable.
Someone who communicates clearly with parents, can confidently lead a team of adults, notices the little things before they become big things, and can create structure without taking away the FUN.
Someone who doesn’t wait to be told what to do—they take ownership.
And someone who understands that a great children’s program isn’t just about keeping kids occupied until their parents arrive. It’s about creating a place where kids feel known, included, encouraged and excited to come back tomorrow. 💜

THE POSITION:
⭐ Hermitage BEST Kids Program Director
📍 Hermitage/Nashville, TN
🗓 Monday–Friday
⏰ Approximately 12:30–6:30 PM
⏱ Approximately 30 hours/week

This could be an AMAZING fit for a teacher or former teacher, assistant childcare director, youth-program coordinator, camp director, recreation professional, school-program leader, or someone with experience leading both children and adults.
Experience matters, but I’m equally interested in finding someone with the right leadership instincts, initiative, organization, judgment and heart.

✨It’s having somewhere you can’t wait to go after school.

✨It’s an older student who you admire and they encourage you.
✨It’s walking into class and seeing friends who are genuinely excited you’re there.

That’s why we love Bring a Friend Week at HDA.

From August 24–29, we’re inviting kids in our community to experience an HDA class completely FREE.

No dance experience is necessary. They don’t need the “right” shoes. And they don’t need to know anyone before they arrive.

They just need to come as they are. We’ll take it from there.
