Free furniture? Always a yes.

A follower reached out after trying to sell this piece with no takers. Rather than seeing it get tossed out, she gave me a shot at saving it.

It needed a ton of work before I could even touch a paintbrush:
Built a whole new drawer from scratch
Bleached out dark stains on top
Added new keyholes
Reglued and nailed basically every joint
Once the structure was solid, I hand-painted a soft landscape across the front.

There’s nothing like taking a piece that looks totally far gone and proving it still has a story left to tell. Swipe through to see the “before” it’s never too late to rebuild. Restart. And make something beautiful.

In the last 10 + years of transforming furniture, I’ve seen design trends come and go. But whenever I want to add color, and storytelling to a piece, I always reach for transfers.

Out of all the transfers I’ve used a trend appears with the Alice In Wonderland (now discontinued) and Roses Are Red (which I designed!) it’s still available until it sells out!

Every time I work with these, the transformation feels magical. And the pieces with these transfers always fly out the door! Which one is your favorite? Alice or Roses?
