Christina Bates is a South Carolina-based artist renowned for her limited edition etchings and paintings that reflect the rich culture and natural beauty of the Lowcountry. Originally from suburban New Jersey, she spent 18 years on Daufuskie Island, where she developed a profound connection with the island's culture and its inhabitants, inspiring her acclaimed hand-painted etchings.

Now residing in Hendersonville, South Carolina, Bates works from her studio overlooking her horse farm, focusing on themes of wildlife, dogs, and fox hunting. Her art captures the essence of Southern life, drawing from both her local environment and her extensive travels.

Bates is dedicated to sharing her passion for art and wildlife conservation with her grandchildren, fostering a love for the region's artistic traditions. Her work resonates with both locals and visitors, reflecting her deep ties to the community and the land.
