Excited to announce a new self-guided audio tour of the art in Hendersonville.

Commissioned by the local nonprofit, STEAP, Inc. (Storytelling, Education, and Arts Programs) and the Henderson County Tourism Development Authority, the first phase of the tour highlights 14 murals in the historic downtown areas of the city, from Main Street to the 7th Avenue District. It features the artists who created the murals talking about their inspiration for them, each of the elements in them, and the process of bringing them to life. You will be delighted to get to know these talented people and their vision to beautify their community with art while inspiring the best in all of us.

Most of the murals are within a ½ mile radius in the center of town making it a pleasant walking tour.

The episodes are available on all the major podcast platforms including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Audible, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, and many others. Just search for the Hendersonville, NC Audio Public Art Tour. The murals can also be accessed on the tour’s Website, dotellpodcast.com. In addition, they are mapped on Google Maps. Hear from the artists who created them about the inspiration for, details of, and the process of bringing the art to life. Much of the tour can be taken on foot as most of them are located within a 1/2 mile radius of the central downtown area of Hendersonville. But a few will require a short drive outside of the downtown area.
