Sending prayers to everyone in the path of this storm.

STATE 24HR RECORD? If we can get credible rain gauge data from Avoyelles Parish, we may see a new Louisiana 24 hour rainfall record! Most of the near 25-30" that fell in Avoyelles Parish was in the last 18 hours!

The current record is at the Sabine National Wildlife Refuge in Hackberry is 24.40" recorded with a tropical depression in 1962!

BTW Lafayette’s 24hr record is 19.63” with a slow moving hurricane on August 9, 1940.

This local artist popped in today with a few new pieces. One is an original acrylic painting on canvas while the other two are original acrylic paintings on wood. All are very pleasing to the eye and soothing to the soul.

Just look at this stunning piece of art featuring a lazy gator and mirror framed in unique and colorful bottle caps. This would be a fabulous Father’s Day gift! It would be a great addition to the camp, man cave or office, but there is only one so hurry in to see it for yourself.

⚰️💦 ARTHUR REALLY SAID “ONE MORE ROUND” 💦⚰️

Arthur had everybody convinced he was fixing to become the Gulf’s newest problem child. Models were getting spicy, forecasts were getting sweaty, and folks were already emotionally moist over the possibilities.

Then this tropical Casanova pulled the weather version of that ex who talks dirty for three days, shows up for sixty seconds of disappointment, leaves everything soaking wet, and vanishes like a Snapchat message.

The crazy part?

He’s still dragging enough moisture behind him tomorrow to make parking lots look like community swimming pools and have windshield wipers filing workers’ comp claims. 🌧️

Arthur is basically that fling that couldn’t last long enough to earn a nickname but somehow still left your sheets, your schedule, and your mental stability completely wrecked.

Came in dripping Made a mess Flooded everything Couldn’t maintain tropical status.

The Gulf Coast got the atmospheric version of being left on read immediately after getting all worked up.

No bra, no shoes, no problem…

Just stopped to get gas and can’t go in to see my favorite people cuz the shop is full and I don’t have a clean bra - lol 😝 All my dirty clothes are in a bag and I’m in my pajamas! So I’ll have to go shop next time! Sorry Jen. Nobody wants to see all this! 😆😂🤦🏼‍♀️
