INTRODUCING YOUR 2027 MISS RODEO BLACK GOLD STAMPEDE TEEN
— MADDIE MICHAEL!

A heart full of faith, a passion for rodeo, and dreams as big as the western sky! Meet our 2027 Teen Queen, Maddie!

Originally from Colorado and now calling Sulphur Springs, Texas, home, Maddie is a 16-year-old homeschooled cowgirl with an adventurous spirit and a love for all things western.

As a professional flag runner with the Texas Spirit Riders, Maddie has traveled across the country, carrying the American spirit into rodeo arenas far and wide. The Black Gold Stampede holds a special place in her journey as the first professional rodeo where she ran flags!

Beyond the arena, Maddie has an artistic soul and a heart for helping others. She loves horses, creating art, traveling, and spending time with her family. Guided by her faith and a determination to never give up or back down, she reminds us that big dreams are worth chasing and that true cowgirl spirit comes from the heart.

Maddie, we are so proud to welcome you to the Black Gold Stampede Royalty family! We can’t wait to watch you represent our rodeo, inspire others, and make this year one to remember.

Help us give a big Black Gold welcome to our 2027 Miss Rodeo Black Gold Stampede Teen, MADDIE MICHAEL!

In rodeo, every detail matters, and rigging is no exception.

From saddle rigging to the ba****ck rigging that helps a rider stay centered, the right setup plays an important role in balance, control, timing, and overall performance. Proper rigging helps distribute pressure, supports a secure position, and allows both horse and rider to move with confidence.

It isn’t just about equipment. It’s about fit, function, safety, and respect for the animal and the sport. A well maintained and properly fitted rigging can make a meaningful difference in the arena, helping riders focus on their ride while giving their mount the freedom to perform.

In the rodeo world, tradition and performance go hand in hand, and quality rigging is part of both.

There’s just something special about the western way of life — good friends, good kids, and making memories that last a lifetime. From the arena to the parking lot, these are the moments that make it all worthwhile!

Raising the next generation to love the sport, work hard, and keep the western way of life alive.

God, family, and rodeo — it doesn’t get much better than that!

🖤 WHAT A WEEKEND, BLACK GOLD! 💛

What an incredible weekend at the Black Gold Stampede Rodeo! From the amazing performances in the arena to the incredible support from our community, sponsors, contestants, and fans, we couldn’t have asked for a better weekend!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out, supported our rodeo, volunteered countless hours, and helped make it all happen behind the scenes. It takes a whole lot of hard work and a whole lot of heart to put on a rodeo, and we are so thankful for every single person who makes it possible!

The best part? Knowing that what we do helps support the youth of Rusk County through scholarships and opportunities for the next generation. THAT is why we rodeo!

Until next year, Black Gold… THANK YOU for showing up, showing out, and making this weekend one to remember! We’ll see y’all next time!
