🎨✨ Finding Inspiration in Unexpected Places

Lately, I’ve been exploring a new creative outlet — collage and "book" making! I started cutting up some of my watercolor “cast offs” (you know, those paintings that didn’t quite work out or didn't find a home😅) and layering them into something completely new.

What surprised me most? How freeing it felt! No pressure for perfection — just color, texture, and play. It reminded me that creativity isn’t about staying in one lane… sometimes stepping sideways into a different art form is exactly what reignites your spark.

If you’ve been feeling a little stuck, try mixing things up — literally! Rip, layer, glue, paint, scribble — see where it takes you.

I created this reverse coloring book abstract image this morning. I used a lovely little postcard size watercolor pad that I found in my mom‘s belongings after she passed. I love painting with her supplies because it makes me feel more connected to her. Miss my Mama Llama.
