Mister Q www.misterqlive.com Hello, my name is Mister Q and I’m here to educate and entertain.

Not only do I bring out the smiles through my unique brand of family music, song, dance, poetry, and story, but I also strive to educate young minds (and older ones) as well. Part educator and part rockstar, music has been a part of my life from it’s beginning, and for the last eight years I’ve shared that talent and passion with the students I’ve been honored enough to teach. That’s right--other

than being a musician, I am also a CA credentialed teacher and certified Music Together teacher. Being able to strum the guitar and rock the mic has been a valuable tool to use in my classrooms. Music makes my lessons better, promotes classroom unity, allows my students to laugh and smile, and helps me to be a more engaging teacher. I truly believe that through the vehicle of wholesome and age-appropriate entertainment that children
learn better and are more able to retain the content that is being taught. My partner Lil’Q and I would love the opportunity to come to your library, school, birthday party, or special event to share our original brand of education and entertainment with your young patrons, students, and children.

This past year working with my music and in music has taken a big backseat to child raising, being a computer science teacher, and a home owner. It’s been nice to distance myself a bit, but I sure do miss working on my music and performing it in front of an audience. My desire to create is still there and I’m glad my Spotify audience around the world helps me to still feel connected to my music and my listeners. Still can’t believe that every year my Spotify music stats grow and grow! It’s humbling. Cheers to changes! Cheers to my listeners! Cheers to all of you! Thank you for valuing me! I got to play my on the this morning! Had about 40 kids in the audience. I felt a bit rusty at first, but it all came back to me real quick! After 12 years of gigging constantly, to the last two years of slim pickings, it was sure nice to get in front of a larger audience. Would love to get some more gigs in , but the competition is fierce out here.
