Were there any better harmonies than the Everley Brothers? I don't think so.

Thank you for Face the Music..........it was very interesting and well written but also sad.........sad in that a man could struggle all those years to try and reach a certain level in his career.....and never quite make it. It made me feel bad for you. Of course, when Bear died, I cried. But I'm be…

Could this ever change?

After the meeting Jennifer Baker, president of the Historical Society, mentioned that the purchase of the new Heritage Center building in town was putting a financial burden on the Society, with monthly payments of $650.

I am proud to say that we raised $6500 for the Historical Society on the 23rd. In all my career I never had problems EVERY DAY in pulling this off, but, thanks to the help of my music pals, we managed to put on a good show anyway. The shame is that the house sound was terrible (we had no control over it) so therefore the audio for the video is.... "less than stellar"...Certainly not up to par with my usual demands. But, in the words of Waveform LLC, "It Is What It Is". The video will still make a good memory keepsake.

I received my new Behringer RM600 Rotary Machine pedal today! It is a modeling pedal that emulates a Leslie rotating speaker, and it does a bang up job! I needed it for my upcoming concert at the Sheid in August. I didn't want to have to drag my twin Leslies to the venue so I took a chance on this pedal. Like many modeling pedals it isn't quite like the real thing, but it's close enough for live, and running the gtr amp through the PA should compensate as well.

Cool features: I can select from three different types of Leslies (145, L16 & 122). I love the 145. The blend k**b allows me to select a balance between the drum and the horn. The drive k**b adds a tube-driven effect (think of Jon Lord or Joe Walsh). I can adjust both the slow and fast mode speeds and can select from three ramp speeds (S/M/F). Press the pedal for 2 seconds and it goes from one mode to the other. Press quickly and it bypasses the pedal. COOL FACTOR = A small red LED light pulses to show you the rotating speed, or if it is bypassed (LED off). 9V battery.

Did I mention it is also a stereo in/out ??

I am preparing to ROCK ON!
