Henderson Civic Theatre Henderson Civic Theatre The Henderson Civic Theatre is located in historic downtown Henderson, Texas at 122 East Main St. in the old Opera House building.

It is a community theatre dedicated to the promotion of live theatre on stage. We present a number of great shows every season, and new auditioners are welcomed for every show! Please come see one of our productions, join the theatre membership, or audition for a play!

JUNIE B. JONES THE MUSICAL

She's funny. She's feisty. She's in first grade, and she has OPINIONS. Based on Barbara Park's wildly popular book series, Junie B. Jones the Musical is pure joy from start to finish — the perfect show for the littlest theatre lovers in your life and the grown-ups who never really stopped being one.

The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) opens in just 7 days, bringing laughs, chaos, and more fun than should be legally allowed in a Shakespeare show. If we look like we’re having a party, just wait until you see the show.

We asked Shakespeare what he thought of our new mural. He’s been dead for 400 years, so we’re taking his silence as a two thumbs up.

This masterpiece was painted by the one and only Laci — a woman who volunteers so much of her time at HCT that we’re honestly starting to think she lives in the building. (Laci, do you live in the building? Don’t answer that.)

Come see all of the hard work being done in The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) and stick around after the show to snap a pic with the Bard! He’s very photogenic.
