Drummer, producer and recording artist Eric Valentine keeps the groove moving with his new single “One Way or Another”, featuring saxophonist Marcus Anderson.

Eric’s music has become a familiar sound on Smooth Jazz radio: “Velvet Groove” spent 21 weeks on the Billboard charts and finished as Billboard’s #2 Smooth Jazz airplay song of 2018, while “Q’s Vibe” featuring Everette Harp and Greg Manning reached #1 on Billboard, Mediabase and The Smooth Jazz Network.

“One Way or Another” brings a driving rhythm, soulful melodies, and the infectious groove that has become part of Eric’s sound. Eric and Marcus have known each other for more than 20 years and performed together on stages around the world, but this marks their first collaboration on record. A two-time GRAMMY® and Stellar Award nominee with five Billboard #1 hits, Marcus Anderson brings his unmistakable energy and soul to the new single.

A real gem rediscovered– an Alan Thicke-Jay Graydon-David Foster composition from the early 1980s titled “Thicke Of The Night”, originally performed by Al Jarreau, now recorded and released officially for the first time.

This version is built around the instrumental interplay between saxman Attila Závodi of the Peet Project and featured guest artist Chieli Minucci of Special EFX who brought aboard his soulful guitar magic and an authentic, seasoned 80’s feel.

The soundscape is both 1980’s and modern, praising the talent of producer Zoltán Dandó who played all other instruments on the track, and took care of mixing and mastering.

Chieli Minucci's connection to Hungary is deeply rooted. His late founding partner in Special EFX, Georga Jinda, was a Hungarian American. Special EFX first played in Hungary in 1990 and Chieli has been a returning performer anda highly esteemed musical collaboration partner there ever since.
