Every single person in these photos walked into the studio saying the exact same thing: "I haven't painted since grade school..." or "I seriously don't have an artistic bone in my body!" 🎨🙈

(Well... except for Maddison, who is still in school and already wildly talented! But for everyone else, it had been decades!)

And then look what happened!

If you’ve been on the fence about booking a class because you think you aren't artistic enough, please don't worry for a second. The wet-on-wet oil painting style is super forgiving—if you make a mistake, we literally just blend it right out.

Chris and I set up everything for you before you even arrive—canvas, brushes, easel, and all the paint. Then we walk you through every single brushstroke, step by step. You just show up, spend a couple of hours relaxing, and head home with a finished landscape you can actually be proud to hang up. ✨🌿

October studio update! 🍁🎃🎨

Out of our four featured projects for October, one is already completely sold out! But we still have easels open for the other three—including two filled with cozy pumpkin vibes. 🍂✨

Behind every polished piece in the studio is at least one moment where we stand there thinking, "Oh goodness, what did I just do?" 😱

Case in point: using spray adhesive to secure tape lines, taking way too long to pull it, and battling to get it off without taking the paint or gesso with it.

Behind the scenes canvas prep! 🎨✨

Chris popped into the studio to ask what I was up to, and the short answer is: getting ready for a super unique workshop this weekend!

We’re painting the exact same scene in two different seasons on a single canvas—serene winter calm right alongside vibrant spring energy. You get double the technique, double the color, and a finished piece that feels like a story on your wall. ❄️🌸

Because it’s a longer, hands-on session, we capped it at just 6 people so everyone gets plenty of personal guidance.

If you’ve been following our 30-day challenge reveal, you know this was driving me secretly crazy. 😅

I painted Mr. & Mrs. Cardinal a day apart, which meant one of Chris’s paintings ended up right between them in the grid layout. I have been itching to slide them together ever since!

Now that the challenge is officially complete, I finally got to channel my inner Sheldon Cooper and fix the universe.

Zero experience? Perfect. That’s literally our specialty! 🎨✨

Look at these happy faces—every single person here walked into the studio thinking “there’s no way I can paint that,” and walked out with a finished painting they couldn’t wait to hang on their wall.

For our first class of October, we’re trying something completely brand new: a special 3.5-hour session on a bigger canvas where you'll paint two seasons of the same landscape side-by-side (winter frost vs. spring bloom!).

Because it’s a bigger canvas and project, we capped this class at just 6 people so we can give everyone loads of hands-on attention. 4 spots are already snatched up, so there are only 2 seats left at the easel!

We’re painting a matching pair of canvases: the exact same mountain scene, once in icy winter and once in full spring bloom. You get to see the whole landscape transform right in front of you as you paint both seasons.

Day 30. We made it! 🎉

Honestly, filming this last video felt just like Day 1—mostly because we couldn't keep a straight face and had to try three times just to get through it.

Looking back over these 30 days, we’ve definitely learned a few things:

Painting every single day is completely possible, but man, it’s a hustle!

Limited palettes are always a blast to play with.

We are BOTH so ready to ditch the small canvases and paint something huge next.

Thank you for following along with this chaotic journey and cheering us on the whole way. Having you guys along for the ride made every single day so much fun.
