They helped farm the land.
Till the root Cellers were full
Canning and Baking
Before and after school
Animals needed feeding.
The wash must be hung.
Grandma needed help.
cause Grandpa was gone.
Money was tight always.
Seldom were things new.
The family clung together.
That's what got them through.
Back then neighbors helped each other.
Strong morals and strict rules.
Respect the elders a given.
Way back then.
