The campus is coming back to life. After a summer of research, lab renovations and faculty conferences, the Fred DeMatteis School of Engineering and Applied Science is again filling with the sounds that matter most: conversation, debate and laughter outside a lab. Naylor, founder of Hofstra’s Long Island Studies Institute, was celebrated for five decades of scholarship and service. She was the only award recipient from Nassau County.
