Do you think not being able to perform in our original location was ever gonna stop this theatre troupe?! This group right here is the real deal - they will perform wherever and whatever it takes - even if it means a parking lot instead of inside on a stage. I couldn’t be more proud of our theatre troupe here at Hemlock High School. They started this journey back in May to perform for the soft opening of the new Performing Arts Center, and worked all summer on their performance, and when that was going to look different yesterday, we just said “Ok! Onto plan B! We’re gonna perform no matter what because that’s what we are about and that’s how much this Performing Arts Center means to us. Thank you to everyone who came out to support these students. What a crowd it was for such a last minute pivot! I think these students sang it best today: “Now is the time to seize the day!” And that they did 🎭📰💙 We can’t WAIT for the new Performance Art Center to open soon!

We WILL still be performing tomorrow, so if you want to come watch us perform “Seize The Day” and “Once and for All”, bring a lawn chair and come on out! 6pm in front of the new Performance Art Center 🎭📰💙

Student Spotlight – Aeriana Rapin

Activities & Involvement
Aeriana has been a dedicated and energetic part of Hemlock’s Fine Arts program, bringing her passion and positivity to every space she’s involved in.

For the past five years, she has been actively engaged in band, theatre, and poms—showcasing her versatility and commitment across multiple performing arts disciplines. Whether she’s performing on stage, playing music, or supporting school spirit through poms, Aeriana consistently contributes to the vibrant culture of our program.

As a sophomore, Aeriana is already making a strong impact, and we are excited to see how she continues to grow and what she will bring to the stage and beyond throughout the rest of her high school career.

Student Spotlight - Alayna Bell

Activities & Involvement
Alayna has been actively involved in Hemlock’s Fine Arts program across multiple disciplines, bringing creativity and dedication with every opportunity.

Alayna’s six-and-a-half-year journey in theatre has been transformative, allowing her to grow and discover new dimensions of self-expression.

In addition to theatre, Alayna has explored visual arts through two years of art classes and two years in Art Club, continuing to develop and showcase her artistic talents. She also participated for one year on the Snow Carving team.

Alayna’s journey reflects the heart of our Performing Arts program -providing a space where students can grow, express themselves, and build meaningful connections.

Congrats to Hemlock Theatre Alum Jacob Kelley!

Jacob earned the coveted white apron on MasterChef and officially moves on as a contestant! Way to go Jacob! He was exceptionally great on the stage and now he’s showcasing his talents in the kitchen.
