Rest peacefully, Dolly. Hemet will always be honored to have been a small part of your extraordinary story. 💛

Dolly Parton's connection to Hemet is a special piece of our local history. In the early 1980s, she reportedly spent several months here while receiving care at Meadowlark in Valle Vista. She stayed in a rented home near San Jacinto Street and quietly became a familiar face at a local hair salon, where she visited every other Wednesday.

For a brief time, one of the brightest stars in the world found herself at home right here in our valley.

Thank you for the music, the laughter, the kindness, and the light you shared with generations. Your songs will continue to fill theatres, touch hearts, and remind us to lead with love.
