Every year, individuals who have been affected by organ, eye, and tissue donation - transplant recipients, living donors, and donor families - come together for the Transplant Games of America to honor those who gave the gift of life.

"It’s MUCH more than a competition. IT'S THE LARGEST CELEBRATION OF LIFE."

These games span over six days and include 20 events including swimming, tennis, and ballroom dancing among others. Today is the kickoff of the 2026 Games hosted in Colorado.

"One Drop of Humanity"

One unit of blood, which takes an hour to give, can save up to 3 people. Every day, across the country, around 30,000 units of blood are used to help save lives. Each donation and every drop matters.

Memorial Day originated in the aftermath of the Civil War, as communities started the tradition of adorning the graves of fallen soldiers with flowers and flags.
This national holiday is dedicated to honor and remember the courageous men and women who sacrificed their lives for our country and our freedom.

Today, let us come together to recognize these individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Clara Barton founded the American Red Cross after the Civil War. We recognize her every year on May 21st as the American Red Cross helps those in need to this day.
