When I was in college at the University of Montana in Missoula in the ‘90s, Red, the street preacher, would always be on a downtown corner letting us young bar hoppers know that there is a hell! He would often yell “FIIIRRRE” and “BURRRRRRNNNN!” I don’t know if he was right, but I know he believed it. I think we all looked forward to seeing Red. He was part of the experience. I’ll never forget him.

We have been living in our RV for an entire year while my husband is single-handed building our house.There is no room in an RV for fabric art. I’ve been restless and bored and near insanity with no fulfilling creative outlet. I’ve crocheted, embroidered, doodled with crayons in my journal…. But nothing really scratched the itch. I finally bought some paints and brushes and just started playing. I’m having so much fun. This is the first one I’ve finished, dedicated to said husband.
