The MDAA Board of Directors is inviting members past & present to a virtual Town Hall to discuss the future of the Montana Dance Arts Association.

Where do we want to go? What challenges are we facing and how can we address them? What does MDAA get right and how do we use those things to help MDAA grow? We hope to discuss these topics and any others that are important to you!

This meeting will take place on Zoom so you can participate from any location. If anyone wants to meet in Helena, Charlene would love to see some of you in person❤️

Please click on the link below to let us know if you can attend, submit any talking points you wish to discuss, and vote for the meeting time.

MDAA professional member event:

Experience the power of repetition reimagined. Cohesion Dance Project presents “Recollections”, an original evening-length performance by MDAA’s inaugural recipient of the Donna Jewel Choreography Prize and Cohesion’s 2026 Artist-in-Residence, Nina Murphy, May 15-17, 2026.

Inspired by nature, daily rhythms, and the philosophy of Søren Kierkegaard, “Recollections” explores repetition and recollection as movements through time – what we relive and what we remember. What emerges is anything but ordinary: repetition becomes transformation, renewal, and possibility.

Featuring over 40 dancers Cohesion and across the Helena community, this dynamic performance is not to be missed.

May 15-17, 2026 at Cohesion Center (1020 Argyle, Helena)
Friday 7:30p
Saturday 4:00p & 7:30p
Sunday 2:00p

Help us give more! MDAA is once again participating in Greater Helena Gives, a week of encouraging donations for worthwhile non-profit organizations. We hope you will jump in and give to support MDAA's programs this week!

We are so grateful for the support we received last year as it made an impact on what we could give back to our members.
Go to greaterhelenagives.org , search for
MONTANA DANCE ARTS ASSOCIATION to make a donation - $10, $25, $50, or any amount makes a difference!

You do not need to live in Helena to donate:)

Please help MDAA continue to reach its goal of bringing the world of dance to Big Sky Country! We humbly ask you to give back to MDAA if you can.

If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact our Executive Director, Charlene White, at 406-459-6337 or email at montanadanceartsassoc@gmail. com
