Calling all little explorers! Join us for Roar & Explore, a wild safari-themed creative movement camp designed especially for our youngest dancers ages 2 and up.

This exciting adventure introduces little ones to the world of dance through imaginative play, movement, music, and jungle-themed fun. We’ll stomp like elephants, leap like lions, swing like monkeys, and explore the wilderness while building balance, coordination, confidence, and creativity.

Perfect for beginners and first-time dancers—no experience needed! This camp is all about having fun, making friends, and discovering a love for movement in a playful and encouraging environment.

Senior Handprint Celebration and Interview-Part 4
Name: Jordin Winbush

How many years have you been part of the Premier Family:
I have been at Premier for 11 years and was at Tap Toe & Twirl for 1 year before that!

What classes do you instruct at Premier:
I teach Combo Jazz/Hip Hop.

What is your favorite dance genre and why:
My favorite dance genre is either Hip Hop or Tap because they are both so different from the rest and each one is so unique!

Where will you attend college?
I will be attending Jacksonville State University, majoring in Elementary and Special Education with a minor in Broadcast Journalism.

What are two of your favorite memories at Premier:
Every Thursday when the seniors would go get dinner during our break and all of the chaos and fun in our Jazz 4 class!

Out of all your dances, what were your top 3 favorites?
• Arabian Nights — Ballet 4 (2021–2022)
• Parent Trap — All Team Large Group (2018–2019)
• The Matador — Contemporary 4 (2024–2025)

Out of all your costumes, which one was your favorite?
My favorite costume was either the Tap 3–4 costume for “Want Something That I Want” from this year or the “Candy Shop” costume from my first year on competition team!

What recital theme was your favorite?
My favorite recital theme was the Occupations theme from the 2017–2018 season!

What has been your proudest moment at Premier (award, accomplishment, etc.)?
Placing 1st Overall in the Senior Category, winning Highest Scorer in my division, participating in the Callback Challenge and placing Top 6, and winning a scholarship while competing against 78 dancers — all for my senior solo at DTI this year!

Who was the dancer you looked up to the most when you were younger?
When I was younger, I had a very special bond with Katie Hosteler and our now staff member, Shireen Foushee.

What would you like to say to your students?
I love you guys to the moon and back! You have grown so much from August to now, and I hope you continue to grow. Sending lots of hugs and kisses! 🩷

What is the best dance advice you can give to your students?
Don’t be afraid to try something new! Take advantage of every opportunity and enjoy every moment of it!

I have been at Premier for 6 years!

What classes do you instruct at Premier:
I taught Thursday Jazz 1 last year and I am teaching Thursday Combo Tap and Ballet this year.

What is your favorite dance genre and why:
My favorite dance genre is lyrical because it’s flowy, pretty, and a mix of ballet and contemporary.

Where will you attend college:
I will be attending Southern Union State Community College and will be in the cosmetology program.

What are two of your favorite memories at Premier:
Having fun in our Jazz 4 class this year and teaching my classes!

Out of all your dances, what are your top 3 favorites:
• The senior dance that us seniors made
• Hoist the Colors — our Diamond Company contemporary dance
• At Last I See the Light — my solo

Out of all your costumes, which one was your favorite:
The “More Than a Feeling” costume, which I am using for my solo this year!

What recital theme was your favorite:
My favorite recital theme was the Love theme.

What has been your proudest moment at Premier (award, accomplishment, etc.):
When I helped my team do well at our competitions.

Who was the dancer you looked up to most when you were younger:
When I was younger, I looked up to Alhanna Allen .g_a , who was on team with me, and my teacher Mrs. Shireen .alyssa29 .

What would you like to say to your students:
I love you guys so much! I am so proud of y’all and can’t wait to see what amazing things y’all do in the future!

What is the best dance advice you can give our students:
Keep trying and working toward what you want!

How many years have you been part of the Premier family: I have been at Premier for 10 years!

What classes do you instruct at Premier: I teach Tap 1, Tap 2, and Ballet 1

What is your favorite dance genre and why: My favorite dance genre is either ballet or contemporary, they are both beautiful ways to express emotion and tell a story!

Where will you attend college: I will be attending the University of Montevallo & majoring in Speech and Language Pathology

What are two of your favorite memories at Premier: Watching my students glow when they finished their recital dances this year and all of the fun we have in our Jazz 4 class!

Out of all your dances, what are your top 3 favorites:
Alice- our contemporary dance
Pirates- our diamond company contemporary
What Lies Beyond- Alessandra and I’s duo

Out of all your costumes, which one was your favorite: My Woody costume for our large group company Toy Story dance!

What recital theme was your favorite: My favorite recital them was this years Disney theme!

What has been your proudest moment at Premier (award, accomplishment, etc.): Placing 2nd overall in the senior solo division at Inspire National Dance Competition this year!

Who was the dancer you looked up to most when you were younger: When I was younger I looked up to two of our now staff members, Megan Plumb and Shireen Foushee

What would you like to say to your students: That I’m so incredibly proud of them and how far they have come as dancers, love y’all bunches!!

What is the best dance advice you can give our students: Give it all you’ve got! Try new things and put yourself out there! Take every opportunity you get because time truly does fly by!!!

Name: Alessandra Cordova
How many years have you been part of the Premier family:
I’ve been dancing for 15 years — 5 years at Tap, Toe, & Twirl and 10 years at Premier!

What classes did you instruct at Premier:
I teach Monday Jazz 1.

What is your favorite dance genre and why:
My favorite dance genre is contemporary or jazz. Contemporary is very expressive and interpretive, while jazz is upbeat and fun.

Where will you attend college:
I will be attending UAB this fall, majoring in Nursing. In the future, I hope to earn my master’s degree and become a Nurse Practitioner.

What are two of your favorite memories at Premier:
It is so hard to choose only two favorite memories, but I would have to say all of the fun we had in our Jazz 4 class this year and getting to perform our self-choreographed senior dance for our classmates and instructors.

Out of all your dances, what are your top 3 favorites?
• Alice — Contemporary 3 & 4
• Speechless — My Solo
• What Lies Beyond — Marley and my duo

Out of all your costumes, which one was your favorite?
I would definitely have to choose my solo costume from this year!

What recital theme was your favorite?
I have loved all of the recital themes, but my favorite would have to be this year’s Disney theme!

What has been your proudest moment at Premier (award, accomplishment, etc.)?
Some of my proudest moments include winning a Platinum trophy for my first competitive solo, “Oceans,” at the Showstoppers National Dance Competition in 2022 and getting to perform in every single recital throughout the years.

Who was the dancer you looked up to most when you were younger?
I have always looked up to our now Assistant Director, Foushee . Her passion for dance has always inspired me. Another dancer I looked up to was Anna Hood because of the beautiful way she expressed emotion through dance.

What would you like to say to your students?
Thank you girls for being such a fun group to teach! I am so proud of how much you have grown as dancers this year. I will never forget how much you made me smile. I love you all so very much, and I’m going to miss you cuties! 🫶🏽

What is the best dance advice you can give our students?
Give every single dance your all! Never take a single moment for granted. Live in and enjoy every moment, soak in every dance, and feel every beat because these moments truly fly by.
