OPENING ARTIST 🎤 We're thrilled to have Alyssa Rogge opening for Regan Clancy and Joshua Loveland tonight!

Born and raised in Helena, Alyssa started writing & playing her songs as a child. Influences like Bright Eyes, Phoebe Bridgers, and Emmylou Harris have impacted her writing and voice, but she has carefully crafted a distinct style that is genuinely Alyssa Rogge.

Her use of deadpan humor, intricate metaphors, and glimpses into the subtlety of emotion make an experience that only she can create. It only takes one listen for audiences to be swept up in the narratives she builds and the feelings she puts on the line.

Helena, you're in for some singer-songwriter magic tonight! ✨

While tickets are still available, they are limited, creating an intimate concert vibe and allowing for space to spread out in the lawn behind Cotton-Top Pastries. Being outdoors, we will not require masks nor vaccines to attend this concert. However, we will have masks available at check-in should you prefer to use one.

We owe a major thank you to our RED LIGHT SPONSOR, Helena Home Team. The way Helena Home Team continues to show up in this community is astounding. 👏

FUN FACT: By the mid-1880s, the Caretaker's Cabin (currently home to Cotton-Top Pastries) was a brothel and part of the "red-light" district that was located across from the Chinese neighborhood of Helena which had many laundries, gardens, groceries, and pharmacies.

As the miners would walk down the brick alleyway, the ladies would "show their wares" out the alley-facing windows to solicit business. That is until a local women's group petitioned to have the windows boarded up.

While there won't be any wares on display this Sunday 😜 we invite you to bring your imagination as you settle into your picnic space and enjoy the musical stylings of Regan Clancy and Joshua Loveland.

THE BACK STORY ✨ Hi everyone, my name is Anna Strange. I am the creator of Reeder's Alley Sessions and the owner of Simple & Strange, www.simplestrange.com. Before starting my business in 2018, I worked at Visit Helena Montana, located in Reeder's Alley. This was when I truly fell for the magic of the Alley.

During my tenure at Visit Helena, I created the Reeder's Alley Block Party as a kick-off to summer and as a way to celebrate the opening of the new visitors center I had the opportunity to design. The block party existed thanks to the incredible support of the Visit Helena team, Heidi O'Brien, and Jen Davis. Oh boy, those were the good ole days.

The Reeder's Alley Block Party ran for 5 incredible years, from 2015–2019, bringing up to 2,500 people into the Alley at one time. We hosted The Vintage Band, Ten Years Gone, Hawthorne Roots, Big Ska Country, and Voice of Reason.

During that time, I dreamt of hosting a smaller, more intimate, acoustic, ticketed series that would support the care of Reeder's Alley. At that point, the timing wasn't right. However, fast forward several years and add in a global pandemic, and the timing for a smaller outdoor gathering couldn't be better!

This idea has wanted to come to life for quite some time, and I feel honored that it was patient enough to wait for me.

The series will premiere this Sunday, August 15. I hope you can join. Future sessions will be hosted based on project need and seasonality, so stay tuned for others if you can't make this one.

Seriously, thank you, Helena, for continuing to support my passion for this historic place. And a GIANT thank you to my event partner, Marisa Diaz-Waian. Marisa is the founder and executive director of Merlin CCC-A Philosophy-Centered Non-profit, whose office is located in Reeder's Alley. Not only has Marisa spent countless hours helping me bring this to life, but she is also acting as the fiscal sponsor for this series. These events truly take a team. I'm sure grateful for mine. 💛
