Attention racers

Due to insurance reasons we have to postpone the first race of the season to Saturday the 30th of May. I apologize for the late notice but we were trying to figure out how we could squeeze this first race in but unfortunately we have to push it back a couple of weeks. So remark your calander for Saturday May 30th at the wapello county fairgrounds in Eldon for the first race of the season! I will create an event today for this race.

Hello racers! We have some exciting news for this year. The 2026 SIMR 2026 race schedule is as follows:

Saturday May 30th - Eldon
Sunday June 21st - Eldon (Wapello Co Fair)
Wednesday July 15th - Osceola (Clarke Co Fair)
Saturday August 8th - Eldon
Saturday September 19th - Eldon (Final race)

Be watching for the events to be created and shared a couple weeks before each race with times and other information! Also, for all of you racers in the southwestern side of the state, spread the word for the race at the Clarke Co fair in July! The fair board is being super easy to work with and we are trying to get a few races back west!

Rules for 2026 are the same as previous year. No changes have been made at this time. We are going to have to be stricter with tech in times for the races this year being on different nights and during a couple of fairs.

I would like to take a minute to reflect on the race we had tonight in Eldon. From last minute planning, to not much time for advertisement, to almost an inch of rain hours before the race we still managed to have one hell of a show! Thank you to every single one of you that came tonight and put on a show for the fair. The Fairboard and I are both very pleased with the turnout we had. We always wish for more but what we had was more than we expected! The race went smooth and quick, the track was one of the better tracks we’ve had in quite some time, and there was very few issues throughout the whole night. The Fairboard is on board to hold more races there, so that’s a HUGE win for us. I’ll be working with them the next few weeks to try and get at least 2 more races there this year. But we couldn’t do it without all of you, showing up and supporting this organization! Again, thank you all

It’s race day! Hopefully this little patch of rain moves out quick and things dry up before race time! Reminder pits open at 4 and mud flies at 7 sharp! If you have any questions call or message us!

‼️Important update for the 2025 racing season‼️
Points are back! This year we will be bringing back the points championships! But a little bit differently so read it carefully.

‼️EVERY VEHICLE WILL GET A PERMANENT NUMBER‼️

- Every race you attend gains you 10pts

-If you show up to a race with someone else’s truck, or a different vehicle to race your spot because yours is broke, you gain 5 points

- Every win gains you 3pts
- Each loss costs you 3pts
- Each jump costs you 5pts
- Every tie gains both drivers 5 points

Points only count for the class your vehicle falls into. For example, if your truck falls into the stock class rules and you jump up and race country boy you do NOT gain extra points for that class.

At the end of the season we will have an awards ceremony to present the points winners their plaques and have a complimentary meal/ get together.

I want this to be a fun way to bring everyone closer together and keep the races exciting. So keep an eye on the schedule as it is posted and let’s have a great year!

Hello racers!
I apologize for the delay this year, we have a new addition to the race family and he’s been taking up a lot of our time. But I have great news! Southern Iowa mud racing will be racing at the Eldon raceway this year! Our first race will be Friday June 13th during the Wapello County Fair! Perfect event to bring the family and have a great night of fun! The next race after that will be the Mike Fosdick Memorial race in Lamoni on June 21st! There will be more races later on after these but we are still working on dates! I’ll have flyers and events make for these races soon! Keep your eyes on the page and get ready for a fun year of racing!
