Quiet Grit & Big Goals

There’s something steady about a young man who knows exactly what he wants, from Rupert Idaho meet Brey Yore.

At just 22 years old, he’s already carving out his place in the rodeo world not with a lot of noise, but with consistency, horsepower, and grit.

He currently makes his living rodeoing and training rope horses. No side hustle. No backup plan. Just a rope in his hand and horses in the barn. And when he says he doesn’t have many bills and everything he owns is paid off, you realize he’s building his life with intention. Simple. Focused. Earned.

Outside of competition, nothing really changes. He’s still training horses. Still being a cowboy. For some, rodeo is an event. For him, it’s a lifestyle.

Like many competitors, he keeps a few traditions close. One rule he won’t break? Don’t ever put your hat on the bed. Some things you just don’t test.

The 2025 season marked a turning point. A strong second-place finish at the iconic Reno Rodeo helped propel him to a Wilderness Circuit year end title an accomplishment he considers the biggest of his year. Winning the circuit isn’t luck. It’s miles, consistency, and winning when it matters.

He may come across as quiet, but there’s more there than people expect. He’ll tell you himself he does talk. And yes, he even smiles once in a while. He just prefers to let his work speak first.

Looking ahead to 2026, his goals aren’t flashy they’re foundational. He wants to make a living with his rope. He wants to have one of the best horses going down the road. In rodeo, that’s the dream: great horses, steady checks, and the freedom to keep going.

When asked how he handles the mental and physical demands of rodeo, his answer says a lot about his perspective: remember how good life really is and that it could always be worse. Gratitude keeps the pressure in check.

And maybe the most important thing he’s learned along the way? Life goes on. You won’t win money at every rodeo. It’s not the end of the world.

That mindset more than any buckle is what builds longevity.

He’s young. He’s hungry. And he understands that success isn’t about one big moment. It’s about showing up again and again, building good horses, and keeping your hat off the bed.

The future looks steady for this Wilderness Circuit cowboy he is currently sitting 11th in the 2026 world standings and steady wins lasts.
