This . . .
Dear Community Partners,
I wanted to share an upcoming event at Greenfield Community College and invite you to help spread the word.
Unplugged & Connected: A Youth-Led Dialogue on Digital Well-Being (Friday, June 5th from 5:30-7:30 pm at GCC) will bring together young people, educators, families, and community members to discuss technology, social media, mental health, and connection — with youth voices leading the discus-
sion. This panel will be moderated by Dr. Michael Tsappis, who is an attending psychiatrist at Boston Children’s Hospital, instructor at Harvard Medical School, and co-founder of the Clinic for Interactive Media and Internet Disorders for the research and treatment of problematic media use.
This public dialogue is part of a weekend recovery intensive focused on digital health and well-being. The other two events are a “lantern light training”—an evening of movement, writing, and sharing (Saturday 6-11 pm at GCC)—and, weather permitting, an afternoon of conversation and flying on Hilltown Youth’s aerial trapeze (Sunday 11:30 am-1:30 pm in Heath). Because young people’s time is valuable, teens and college-age youth who sign up and attend all three events will receive a $100 stipend.
We would appreciate your help in sharing this opportunity with youth, families, colleagues, and community networks. This program is being co-sponsored by Hilltown Youth Recovery Theater (hilltownyouthorg) and supported by a grant from the United Way.
Thank you for your partnership and support.
