Creative Colors - Put the ART in Party

I want to thank everyone who has attended a pARTy or Kids Arts and Crafts at Creative Colors!!!! Everyone of you bring a different shade of the rainbow and add such color to our barn!!! Thank you, thank you, Thank you!
It's hard to believe that it is August already! Where does the time go? It is flying by and I haven't posted in quite a while. Time to update you about the happenings at Creative Colors. Over the summer we had Kids Camps and they were a blast! We made little rag rugs, painted with acrylics, paint pens, and water colors. We went on nature walks, had refreshing treats, we made clay babies and all kinds of slime. We learned about color blending and different techniques with acrylic paints and other mediums. So much fun was had by all!

As far as adult time, we had a bridal shower and three other private parties that were absolutely great. Everyone enjoyed themselves. I have to get better at posting pictures though! The one question that keeps being asked of me is; why don't you put a date on the calendar for a painting pARTy that is open it to the public?

In response, I am doing just that on August 17th. We are open, by reservation as there are still only 12 seats, for a pARTy. We will be painting with acrylic paint "The Round Barn" the iconic Sonoma County Barn that was lost last October in the fires. Several of you were interested in attending a night where we honored by painting this icon. Hope to see you all there.

We also set aside the last Friday of every month for a Craft Night pARTy!This month the date is August 31st 2018. We are making cork coasters! Come and join us in the fun! The cost is $30 for a set of four. Come and have fun with friends both old and new! Please Join us!

Creative Colors operates out of a 100 year old historic barn located at the corner of Old Redwood Hwy and Grant School Roads.This barn is on property that has been in our family for seven generations and it is now used as an art studio and creative space. This summer we would love to share our space and ventures with our community’s youth.

Each week we will offer a variety of age appropriate arts and craft projects. We will take two 15 minute walks through the Olive Orchards and Vineyards to connect with nature, energize our bodies and minds, and get the wiggles out. Our parties will include:

Painting w/acrylics Painting w/water colors
Embroidery Basket making
Collaging Painting on pots & planting
Rag Rugs Dream boards
Tie Dying Working w/Clay

Jodi is a CLAD credentialed teacher and has Waldorf instruction training. She is passionate about children. She is an excellent artist and a Waldorf doll maker.
Lorri is a loving mom and a grandmother. She is creative and enjoys working with her hands. She desires to foster children’s imaginations with painting and artistries.

Thank you all who attended our opening yesterday. We had a wonderful turn out and it meant so much to Lorri and me.

At Creative Colors we have created an intimate space for parties of 8-10 people.

Please think of us when you would like to put together a paint party. We do all the work and all you have all of the fun.

Some ideas are; Friday Night Date Night for couples to come together. Birthdays, showers or just spending time with friends. We are happy to tailor each party to your desires.

We are also doing craft night the last Friday night of each month. This month (January 26), we are doing grape vine wreaths. Spots are filling up, so if you are interested, please let us know.

Come Paint with us! We paint on Canvas, Wood slabs, Terra Cotta pots and are always looking for new projects!!! It is a place to unwind from the weight of the week. A place to visit with friends, both old and new. We have such a good time eating tasty small bites with a glass of local wine, playing witty games, and creating beautiful art! We at Creative Colors like to put the ART back in pARTy!
