I, Emanuel Davis, School Board Member for District 5, created the Henry County Principal and Teacher Hall of Fame Award to shine a light on the outstanding principals and teachers who have dedicated their lives to serving the students and communities of Henry County. These educators and leaders have accomplished so much throughout their careers, and I felt the best way to ensure the community recognizes their achievements was to spotlight the principals and teachers whose hard work has made a lasting impact.

The extraordinary dedication, leadership, and accomplishments of these employees have helped provide Henry County students with a quality education, and their contributions should not go unrecognized or unrewarded. The history of the Henry County School System serves as the foundation of our schools, and it is important that we do not allow Father Time to erase the memories of the individuals whose achievements established the high standards that made our school system great.

This award also includes a monetary contribution from The Davis Family Event Center, payable to each honored principal’s school, as a way to further support education and recognize excellence within Henry County Schools.
