We are looking for local businesses that are interested in partnering with a local art gallery to bring artists into their space.

While Maus Haus Gallery is still searching for their permanent space, we want to ensure our artists work is being showcased in different ways, galleries, various styles of businesses, medical offices, local events.

Partnering with local businesses can do just this. It’s a great way to boost visitors to visit your establishments plus art can brighten up any space when done properly. We will help match artists with the interested businesses and help create more positive connections in our area. We will also help install and deinstall any artwork going into the spaces discussed.

Our August show is coming up! While we still have Worth the Detour on display at the gallery, I wanted to introduce our August show. Featuring a 3 persons show! Brian Lee Fritz | Bird and Nature Art Rachel Gluski ✦ Whimsical Painter & Artist and Elizabeth Kissonergis ! We are so excited for this show and know the work will speak volumes to these three talented artists. Opening August 7th and running until August 28th it is a show you do not want to miss!

What is the process for installing an art show?
Well, first is selecting the pieces from the open call that flow well together but also show uniqueness in the individual artists.

Next is once all the pieces are at the gallery it’s layout time. Usually over a three day process. We layout the show, let it sit for a day and then come back with fresh eyes to see if anything needs to be moved around.

After that we decide on spacing between pieces, each wall will require different spacing based on what works the best and creates the best flow.

Then, using a laser level we install the hardware first. How we decide on the height is up to each individual gallery usually between 58-62 inches which is eye level for most visitors coming into the space. I hang at 60 inches. Then take half the height of the piece minus the distance from the top of the piece to the top of the tension for the hanging mechanism on the piece and you get the exact point of where to put the nail.

Place the pieces on to their nail and make sure the pieces are straight. Repeat on each wall.

Lastly, take a step back and enjoy the show!
