Sneak peek of my next set of angel wings. There will be 50 stars in the blue sections when complete. This set is in honor of all our brave veterans that fought selflessly and tirelessly, many sacrificing their lives or sense of security as well as those who suffer in silence every day due to the unfathomable trauma they have witnessed and endured to protect the very freedom so many take for granted. Come join me this Thursday at Thursday's on the Triangle. I'll be the demo artist and we have all the supplies for you to paint your very own set of angel wings to take home. There is no cost, so come on out and enjoy some art, music, and food, all by local vendors!

It has come to my attention that someone feels I stole their daughter's idea to paint angel wings in our community. I assure you, I did no such thing. I was actually inspired (like many artists all over the world who are painting their own angel wings) by world-renowned artist Colette Miller more than two years ago and have been discussing this idea and trying to make it a reality ever since. I pitched the idea at Hazard Soup last year and was approached by several people in the community to paint sets of wings, including our Judge Executive, who commissioned me to paint them all over Perry County Park. I am fine if you don't like the wings or appreciate their meaning and I am also ok if people think I don't have artistic talent or creative vision. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I respect and understand that those opinions will vary. I am only trying to bring hope, culture, color and inspiration to my community and effectuate positive changes to our environment. I never intended to offend anyone. Thank you to everyone that has been so supportive of this project.

Made quite a bit of progress last night. This set at Perry County Park is almost complete. Some places need more coats of paint and the line work and they will be finished. Hopefully, today! The quality of these photos is poor because it was after midnight lol. Have a blessed day, everyone!
