BayCon BayCon is the largest science fiction and fantasy convention in the San Francisco Bay Area. BayCon takes place over July 4th weekend in Santa Clara, CA.

Started in 1982, it has grown from a convention of 1,200 to averaging 2,100 people.

BayCon is Pleased to welcome Kevin Roche as our Science Guest of Honor! 🔬🧪

A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, Kevin has been presenting on spintronics to the public since 2002 and Quantum Computing since 2017.

He was a featured expert on magnetic levitation for Episode 4 of Science and Star Wars. Kevin has been a fan since he learned to read, and his hobbies include bartending robots, costuming, and running science fiction conventions; he was Chair of the 76th World Science Fiction Convention in August 2018.
