📸❤️ A Moment of Pure Love on the Water ❤️📸

A couple of weeks ago, I was fortunate enough to witness and capture one of those special moments that reminds us why we spend countless hours in the field.

As the evening light gently reflected across the calm water, this loon parent nestled up to its freshly hatched chick in what appeared to be a quiet moment of affection and protection. The chick, only hours or days old, rested safely on its parent's back—a place where loon chicks spend much of their first days staying warm, safe, and close to mom and dad.

Moments like this are incredibly tranquil, intimate, and rarely seen. Wildlife photography often requires patience, persistence, and a little luck, and on this evening nature rewarded us with a glimpse into the remarkable bond between parent and offspring.

It's scenes like this that continue to inspire my passion for wildlife photography after all these years. There is something truly special about being trusted, even briefly, into the private lives of wild creatures.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have captured this image and to share it with all of you.

🖤🤍 Nature's newest arrivals! 🖤🤍

Just over a week ago, we had the privilege of capturing this incredible video of an adult loon with two loon chicks on a local Hayward-area lake. What's especially remarkable is how early these chicks arrived this year—much earlier than we typically see in Northern Wisconsin!

There is something truly special about watching a loon family navigate the calm waters together. These tiny loon chicks will spend the summer learning to swim, dive, and survive under the watchful eye of their devoted parent.

This is just the beginning! We will be sharing more adorable video clips and stunning still photographs from this memorable encounter in the coming days and weeks.

🍷✨ The James Netz Photography Wine Alley Is Officially Open! ✨🍷
Today we had the pleasure of welcoming Shelly, Penny, Becky, and Candi from Indiana, who are spending the week in the Hayward area. After taking a break of shopping, they stopped in to relax and enjoy a glass of wine in our new Wine Alley space.
Ladies, it was wonderful visiting with you and sharing stories while you took a break. We look forward to seeing you again on your next trip to Hayward! ❤️

🍷🎨 Introducing Our New Wine Alley at James Netz Photography! 🌿📸

A while back, James had an idea: Why not create a cozy space where guests can enjoy a glass of wine while browsing our gallery?

Early this winter, we reached out to Kelly Egger, art teacher at Hayward High School, to see if she and her students would be interested in helping bring this vision to life. She enthusiastically said yes!

This past week, two talented students, Evelyn and Tristin, spent time transforming our space by painting our wooden fence and beginning work on one of the alley walls. Needless to say, they did an outstanding job, and we couldn't be more grateful for their creativity and hard work. 👏🎨

Today, we're excited to share the beginning of our new Wine Alley Gallery Space—a cozy outdoor area where guests can relax with a glass of wine while enjoying our wildlife and landscape photography, along with our growing collection of Nature Inspired Gifts.

And here's a little bonus... 🍹✨ We have a couple of surprise summer wine drinks available that we're pretty excited about! Wine Spritzers, Wine Bloody Mary's, Wine Margarita's.

We're still putting on the finishing touches, including some wrought iron wall décor and a few other details, but the space is ready to enjoy.

Today we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedom. 🇺🇸

This Memorial Day, may we reflect on the sacrifices made by our heroes and hold close the values they fought to protect. Their courage, dedication, and love for this country will never be forgotten.
