The Hayward Piecemakers Quilt Guild will be hosting Mary Hertel of "Made By Marney". Mary is an art instructor and pattern designer. Mary designs her own paper-pieced patterns which are fun and easy to use. Her lecture and trunk show will be held on Monday, August 8th at 10:30 a.m. in the Theater Room at the Hayward Wesleyan Church. The church is located at 10655 Nyman Ave, Hayward. The public is invited to attend. There is a $5.00 fee for non-members.
Mary grew up in a rural farm community which gave her a love for nature and animals, as you will see from her designs. She has a great love for children's artwork which is also evident in her wonky animals... which no doubt comes from teaching children's art for thirty-five years. Her motto is "A Day Can't Go By Without Creating Something..."
