Why do we recommend using sterile saline vs alcohol on your fresh piercings?
1) It effectively and gently cleans away crusties and debris without disrupting the healing process.
2) Safe & gentle for everyone. It does not harm sensitive healing tissue & supports natural skin cell regeneration.

*Avoid cleaning with alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, iodine, or any harsh products, as these can dry out the skin and damage cells needed for healing. It can also cause excessive irritation and lead to increased scarring.

EASY to use: WASH your hands > SPRAY with piercing wash > DRY with clean disposable products like cotton swabs, gently removing build up. Cloth towels should be avoided as they can harbor bacteria and snag jewelry.

Let's talk about some piercing history.

It's a common misconception that you should "twist" your jewelry during the healing process of a fresh piercing. This myth originates from the early history of piercings, when they were performed with a pointed needle and a thread was left in the piercing channel for healing. The twisting would ensure tissue didn't heal into the thread.

That being said, modern piercing is done with metal jewelry, and there is no need to twist! It's actually detrimental to healing, as twisting rips the crusties that form as a part of the healing process away from the raw tissue, creating more trauma and potential irritation. We strongly advise against unnecesary manipulation of your jewelry during the healing period. Just keep it clean and leave it alone!
