Welcome back to another !

This week we’re coming at you with a classic character profile. Next up: Benjamin Mudge

Mudge was a lawyer/geology professor with a passion for the world of natural science! He first taught at Kansas State Agricultural College before teaching at Yale (a big “Toto, I’ve got a feeling we’re not in Kansas anymore moment” amirite)

In addition to the many hats he wore, Mudge was also a strong anti slavery advocate who moved his family to Quindaro, Wyandotte County, Kansas, a bustling river town crucial to the cause of the Underground Railroad

In our show, Benjamin is adopted into Cope’s ragtag group of misfit paleontologists where he becomes a faithful companion.

welcome back to another ! Today we’ll be talking about the gentle giant named by Marsh: the triceratops

He may have been an herbivore, but don’t let this vegetarian fool you. His horned skull was enough defense to throw down with a T-Rex when provoked! Check out the info graphic for more fun facts and if you’re feeling artsy, swipe for a digital coloring page!

This is brought to you by the stegosaurus! Discovered in 1876 as part of the Bone Wars, the stegosaurus is one of the most recognizable dinosaurs today. This week we decided to put together a little profile of fun facts on Mr. Steggy (personally the name we would have gone with, but no judgement, Marsh) here!

Another , another song!

Time To Go Home is a barbershop style number sung by Marsh’s students who, after a very long and very taxing expedition, are (you guessed it) ready to go home.

Welcome back to another everyone!

This week is especially exciting since we get to share some of Shley’s lyrics for the very first time!

Introducing “Sunrise”. to set the scene Shley says:

“It is a ballad sung by Cope. He gets separated from the rest of his group and he loses his horse in the middle of the night. In the pitch black darkness, he unknowingly wanders through the badlands. The sun begins to rise and as it gets lighter, the colors and patterns in the stones reveal the history of time. The plan is for this to be a gorgeous light show as the sun rises and reveals more and more color and intricacy around him.”

Let us know what you think!

This we’re putting you onto the concept playlist for the show! While this isn’t the music being used in the show itself, it does give you an inside look to the sound and vibe Shley’s curating for the script! (And any playlist that has Bon Jovi, Dropkick Murphys, and Lil Nas X in the same mix is a hard yes from us)
