Plein Air North Idaho’s Hayden Event made these 3 award winners quite happy, not to mention all the art enthusiasts who got to see their award winning work were thrilled also! Hoping to offer the same artist gatherings next year, it was worth my time and effort to bring Hayden artists together. Thank you Idaho Commission on the Arts and National Endowment for the Arts!

The CDA Farmers' Market is a wonderful venue that always lifts my spirit! Because I want to share my enthusiasm for good food, people and art, I worked with market goers to make a community art piece that will be unveiled in its entirety August 13th at Blackwell Gallery during CDA's artwalk. I had the opportunity to work with around 180 students from Sorensen Elementary in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho this last May/June and we created 3 giant paintings. Here's what we came up with together as a collaboration, one is 2nd graders, one is 1st graders, and one is Kindergartners. What a delight to work with these young artists!🎨

Here are the final pieces of Sorensen Elementary artwork from my May-June 2021 art residency. One was created by 2nd grade students, it is 48” x 64”. One was created by 1st grade students it’s 48” x 62” and the last one by kindergarteners that is 48” x 64”. Can you guess which is by made by which grades?
