Been pondering this detail-potential patent- since 2017. One of my cranial habits is problem solving when it grabs my attention. This is a chronic issue for aging medical facilities: water intrusion. Getting operations back online means literally $100k’s daily so every day counts. A non-drywall solution while still maintaining fire rating is the key. Modularity and flexibility in dimensions, with the panel, seaming details having the final finish completes the product line.

Ever get that feeling someone keeps watching you? And not just for treats?

Another weekend project, this was a piece Lilia sketched out a few years back, and I was always going to frame it. When I started thinking of a cool frame, the SpeakEasy door slider thing came into my head. Had some scrap Wenge around so here it is. I use a butcher block natural product so no stain; it’s amazing how dark, dense and beautiful this African hardwood is. I should hang it on a door now…

Chris Hemmah, a longtime friend and fellow creative spurred me dreaming about a sequel to the Fisher Price little people painting…this time more of a nod to adventures in ‘living light with purpose’, and in his case ‘little dwelling creations’ as well. This has been a centuries old practice for boat builders and explorers bold enough to cast conventional thinking to the wayside and intentionally solve Maslow’s hierarchy of human needs. As pure as it gets folks, but to each one of you, be happy and healthy friends!!!

The little people are a childhood collective memory of ours: dreaming, playing and remembering times of security and safety TO. JUST. BE.

Looking at subdividing 1.25 acre property into two, city would like a flag lot to minimize neighbor disputes vs a driveway easement. Another option is a joint private drive...image a neat cottage overlooking a pond and 15 acre nature preserve - yummy!

Another weekend celebrating art and architecture and a core value of mine…exploring creativity. Two of my acrylic paintings at the Hawley art show, the water/ beach sold, and The ribbon was a nice added touch to the dopamine too, although realized long ago that it is the FLOW in the making that is the most self fulfilling. Thanks for allowing me to share and celebrating with me on our collective journey together.

What's on the boards, and on the latest with AI and architecture? This was an image created with Sketchup roughly 5 years ago for an executive boardroom in Fargo ND. The ideas are 100% my own from my creativity, born from 50 years of experiencing the world. This was a part of a larger project, so it is unknown the time spent on this room by itself, but I'd guess about an hour or two. The Sketchup was also created by myself 100%, and although my skills are not as honed as someone used to 40 hour weeks within this program, this drawing would have taken perhaps 4 hours. The rendering plug and play on top (Raytracing) uses math formulas to calculate the light output and the reflections based on the reflectance characteristics of each material. The time the program took to calculate this was probably 30 minutes. The bottom image is through ChatGPT (free version) and was made from describing how I wanted to enhance the image, of which I tweaked 3 times. The time it took was the same time I took to make this post. If I was to start over with this exercise, I would sketch this first then begin to describe, an exercise that would be about an hour beginning to end. So far this is ideation only, not a set of construction documents, which has a ways to go, but is getting closer every day. Fascinating times!
