Well, October certainly isn’t going to be boring! 💚💜

Baah Yarn’s October Color of the Month has arrived in Aspen, and we’re loving this Matcha and Fig combination! We’re seeing these colors together everywhere lately, and we do not hate that!

And if you haven’t tried Aspen yet, here’s a good excuse to treat yourself. **75% superwash merino, 15% silk, and 10% cashmere.** Because we deserve to have beautiful fibers in our hands while we knit, not just beautiful things to wear when we’re finished!

October’s Dream in Color Pop-Up Club color has arrived! 💜

Meet Fairy Ink, a gorgeous mix of purples, blues, greens, and soft neutrals in Smooshy Cashmere. And can we talk about how beautifully it pairs with Unimagineable? 😍

We’re thinking these two would be stunning together in the Exordium Shawl by Rebecca. Just imagine how those colors would play together!

New in the shop—and this one comes with a local story. 🐑
We’re excited to welcome The FHEW from Fern Hall Estate, located just up the road in Clifford Township, PA. This beautiful 100% Merino wool is undyed and non-superwash, letting the natural character of the wool shine through.
It’s a sport weight with 360 yards per skein, and we already have a sweater planned for it (because of course we do). We’ll be holding it with a strand of Isager Silk Mohair for Sweater No. 11 Light by My Favourite Things Knitwear.

A little merino. A little silk. A whole lot of possibilities. 🧶
Another new arrival for fall: Cascade Yarns MeriSeta, a gorgeous blend of 75% extra-fine merino wool and 25% silk.
The merino gives it softness and warmth, while the silk adds a subtle sheen and beautiful drape. And the colors we chose? Rich reds, warm golds, earthy greens, deep blues and a few perfect neutrals — basically fall in yarn form.

We have a lot of new yarns in the shop this fall, and we’ll be introducing them here over the next few weeks! 🍂🧶

First up: mYak Baby Camel. This beautiful yarn is 100% baby camel fiber, sourced from the Tibetan Plateau and spun in Italy. It’s incredibly soft, warm and lightweight — one of those yarns you really need to feel in person.

We’re about to cast on the Malibu Shawl by Isabell Kraemer, and we think it’s the perfect project to show off both the yarn and some of the gorgeous colors we have in the shop.

Dropped a stitch? Made a mistake three rows back? Wondering whether to tink, rip, or just quietly put the project in a drawer? 🧶😅

Our Fixing Knitting Mistakes Workshop is all about learning how to confidently get yourself out of those knitting mishaps.

Join us Saturday, September 19 from 1–3 PM for a hands-on workshop where you’ll practice fixing dropped stitches, learn when to tink vs. rip back, use lifelines, and—most importantly—learn how to read your knitting so you can figure out what went wrong.

Join us every Wednesday evening from 6–8 PM at Yarn Over the Falls in the Hawley Silk Mill. Bring whatever you’re working on—knitting, crochet, needlepoint, embroidery, or any other stitchy project—and spend a couple of hours making and catching up with fellow fiber friends.

My Antipodes Sweater by DreaReneeKnits is officially underway! I’m just about to start the colorwork for the back yoke, which feels like where the real fun begins. 😍

I’m using mYak Fior di Lino in Cactus Juice for the main color with Malabrigo Torzal in Piedras for the contrast—and those little pops of purple and orange in the Piedras against the green are making me ridiculously happy.

And if you’ve been thinking about joining our KAL, it’s not too late! We’re taking over a corner of Cocoon Coffee House in Hawley on Saturday mornings to knit, troubleshoot, compare notes, drink coffee, and collectively figure out what Andrea Mowry wants us to do next. 😂 Come knit with us!
