🌙 Handmade on the Big Island of Hawaii, this one-of-a-kind coconut wood bowl is remarkable for its bark inclusion, with lichen. The artist maintained the bark on the edge of the bowl, giving this bowl a unique, natural look and live edge. The artist then detailed the wood with royal blue lapis lazuli precious gemstone inlay, offering a colorful, bright contrast to the natural dark brown of the coconut wood.

💐 An Ikebana is a Japanese style vase. Ikebana is the centuries-old Japanese art of arranging flowers. The practice, which roughly translates to “making flowers come alive,” uses carefully selected blossoms, greenery and other flora to convey a specific feeling or emotion to an observer – just as a painting or sculpture might. The art of ikebana originated in Japan around the 6th century when Buddhist monks began offering flowers on temple altars to worship and show gratitude for the beauty of nature. This practice laid the foundation for ikebana as an art form.

🌙 We just sold this beautiful mango wood salad bowl to a couple celebrating their 5 year wedding anniversary 🥳 What an honor for us to have one of our bowls commemorate this special occasion 💞

🌙 Handmade out of mango wood, sustainably-sourced and locally-grown on Big Island, this bowl is finished with organic oils, making it food safe and an excellent choice for salad and other food items. Similar to cast iron pans, wood bowls preserve flavor. In Italy, families will season wood bowls with olive oil and garlic before serving salad. Wood is also naturally anti-bacterial and anti-microbial, and is a much safer, more natural option for food use than plastic.

✨Jacaranda Wood Bowl with Turquoise Inlay✨

🌙 Hand-turned out of Jacaranda wood, locally-grown and sustainably-sourced on the Big Island of Hawai’i. The artist hand-carved, sanded and polished the wood to sculpt the bowl into a traditional calabash shape, maintained a natural edge, then decorated the bowl with a significant amount of turquoise gemstone inlay.

🌙 This bowl is special because of its black splating, which creates unique designs, shapes and lines in the wood, on both the inside and the outside of the bowl. The spalting on this piece creates a shape that reminds us of a Hawaiian sea turtle 🐢.

🌙 Llosh Winne’s woodwork is thoughtfully-crafted, functional art, with elegant and rustic charm.

🌙 This beautiful, unique, natural edge Earpod wood bowl was handmade on the Big Island of Hawaii bowl turner Llosh Winne. This bowl was hand-turned from a sustainably-sourced, locally-grown Earpod tree, harvested on Big Island. The artist spends hours hand-carving the Earpod wood log to create the shape of the bowl, sands and smooothes the bowl, then adds decorative, colorful gemstone inlay. This Earpod wood bowl is detailed with blue turquoise from Arizona. This bowl is extra special because of the natural edge bark inclusion maintained around the rim of the bowl and the natural black spalting, which gives the bowl a beautiful and intricate design.

🌙 We use organic, chemical-free finishing oils to polish our wood bowls, including organic linseed oil and natural beeswax. This bowl is a stunning work of art, perfect for a table centerpiece, wedding gift, fruit bowl, coffee table bowl or home décor art piece, certain to beautify any setting.
