Happy (almost) New Year! If you are still following this page please go on over to PaxMaris Maritime Foundation for some exciting news! Many of our passengers suggested we become a non-profit, so that's what we did. We have a clear path to return to service this summer, with an exciting project to build a new deadrise boat. In the meantime, we have our first fundraiser scheduled for January 22 at Market Street Brewery in . The summer of being landlocked.

This was not the plan as we bid farewell to our 2021 season, but here we are. We miss our military families and all of the families that supported us over the past couple of seasons. But...we really do believe that we are making the right decision to pivot to becoming a 501c3 charitable organization (that's in the works) and building a brand-new Chesapeake deadrise that will hold many more friends and families, go further, faster, and have more access to shallow waters around the Susquehanna flats. We will also add environmental programs to our military family program. And can we say "new" again? We can't lose precious charter time dealing with maintenance issues - that's just not feasible. Hello Friends,
By now our newsfeed would normally be featuring photos of our beautiful sailing trips down the Susquehanna River channel. So why have we been so quiet this year?

If you checked our website lately, you are seeing a whole new look – and a new name – PaxMaris Maritime Foundation, or PaxFound for short.

You will also see that we have news that is probably disappointing to you if you were looking forward to sailing this summer. When we said "see you next summer" last year, we truly believed that would be the case.

However, sometimes businesses must pause and pivot to survive and thrive – and that’s what we’re doing. We are in NO WAY giving up our mission to support military families or provide access to the Chesapeake Bay for all. It’s just the opposite. We have begun a comprehensive plan that will incrementally provide more access to the water for more people, and although we firmly believe in the viability of establishing a Maryland Benefit Company, we understand that the best course of action for now is to establish 501(c) status. More viable funding options will not only help sustain our military family mission, we will now be able to introduce our new environmental mission too.
