We are 19 days away from the first ever hybrid retreat, Colourful Stitches Design Studio: Polygon Master Class, which will take place on July 29th at Vandiver Inn in Havre de Grace, MD. The retreat is one-day in person followed by 30-days online mentoring. You will learn all the finer points of designing and executing exquisite polygon quilts as we piece "Dance in the Light". All techniques and tricks of the trade will take any pieced quilt you make to a higher level. That means "how to" for designing, coloring, cutting, construction, pressing and finishing. okay, we have how many days until the election? 98 or so. I'm thinking I need to make a simple quilt block each day to help count down the days. Not sure which block or what to do with them when I'm finished but I'm in.

I would like to invite you to an afternoon of vintage quilts. Yup, it's an old fashion bed turning. The place is Gallery 220 (on Washington St) in Havre de Grace. The event is about 1 hour from 3 pm to 4 pm. We will have vintage family heirlooms from the late 1800 to spring chickens of 1930s. The event is FREE and has air conditioning and setting. And while you're in town enjoy, it's a busy weekend in Havre de Grace.

Happy June 1st. Dragons are on my mind. For summer reading consider teaming up with a kid (yours or someone elses) and explore the secret to color in Delphia by following the adventures of the Black Knight. A quick stitch project to get to the practice of doing effectless binding. The workshop will be hosted on FB and will contain 3 Facebook lives.
