showcase her art. I guess I just assumed that I could do the same with some help and some work. No one told me I couldn’t.

ART PAGE STATEMENT

I first got interested in Art at a very young age when I saw one of my grandmothers producing a variety of beautiful art. Later I realized that my maternal aunts and my many first cousins were painting, writing poetry, and forming 3-D images (from corn husk dolls to carvings to forming statues.) Many were getting their art degree educations. So, I began my art education. At fir

st, it was a paid “at home” course. Later it was incorporated in with my Bachelor of Education. Courses were many and varied. There was making my own pottery, silk-screening, etc.; my main interests were photography (and developing my own work). Visual Arts (painting) played an important role in my choices.

I meant this picture to represent my feelings about Ukraine when the war first started. The swing & angel are symbols that represent them being kept safe from harm.

A special tribute to Melina, Bobby's special furry friend. She crossed the 🌈 bridge yesterday. She lived a long, wonderful life.
