This fall has shaped up to be my busiest in a while. I had the New England Made trade show, finishing up my fall markets, the daily life of teenagers and young adults, dinner, errands, etc. On top of that Youngest kid is fencing a very competitive schedule, so we’re gone many weekends. This past weekend we hopped a quick flight to Rochester, NY for 2 days of fencing and a little fun in the middle. Very grateful to not be traveling next weekend and catching our breath a little!

Holiday cards have officially entered the shop!

Afternoon studio friends,

This card is entirely my husband's fault. 😂

During my first New England Made trade show, I realized I didn't have many New England-themed cards. So while we were hanging out in my booth, we started bouncing ideas. His tend toward the outlandish... at one point there was a lobster in a bathtub and a lighthouse involved. (Still not sure where the lighthouse fits in, honestly.)

The lobster idea got stuck in my head, though. And that's kind of how my best designs happen — I just let an idea turn over for a while until something clicks.

Eventually? "You're another year butter, baby" was born. A truly terrible pun. Some whimsical illustration. A lobster holding a butter martini. The perfect birthday card for your people who love a good groan-worthy joke.

First market of the season is THIS Sunday and I have genuinely been counting down ✨

There are new cards. There are mystery packs. There is me, extremely caffeinated, ready to watch you pick up a ridiculous lobster card and immediately know which friend is getting it for their birthday.

Hey studio friends... confession time. 😂
When my oldest and their boyfriend were preparing to cross the finish line of college this spring, I did what any proud artist-mom does: I designed the party invitations, made custom stickers for the guests, and then completely turned the whole thing into a greeting card for the shop.
Was it necessary? Absolutely not
Was it inevitable? One hundred percent

Hello studio friends...
I made cards for people who think a good pun is basically a superpower... and honestly? I stand by that.
These are the ones your customers grab when they want someone to laugh, groan, and immediately think “I have to send this to ___.”
No drugstore vibes here. Just really, really questionable wordplay and zero regrets.
