Afternoon studio friends,
This card is entirely my husband's fault. 😂
During my first New England Made trade show, I realized I didn't have many New England-themed cards. So while we were hanging out in my booth, we started bouncing ideas. His tend toward the outlandish... at one point there was a lobster in a bathtub and a lighthouse involved. (Still not sure where the lighthouse fits in, honestly.)
The lobster idea got stuck in my head, though. And that's kind of how my best designs happen — I just let an idea turn over for a while until something clicks.
Eventually? "You're another year butter, baby" was born. A truly terrible pun. Some whimsical illustration. A lobster holding a butter martini. The perfect birthday card for your people who love a good groan-worthy joke.
