Hi to all the new followers! 👋🎨

I figured I’d reintroduce myself since I've gained a few recently.

I’m Monica artist MAM Artworks & founder of Paint Havana (studio in downtown Havana), painter, mural artist, gallery owner, and lifelong creative.

Although I’m originally from the Midwest, I spent 20 years in Portland, Oregon... 11 of those years growing as an artist and building the courage to pursue art professionally. Exactly 5 years ago, I took a leap of faith and walked away from my corporate career to go full throttle into my art journey. Scary I know!

Then something unexpected happened…

A few years in doing art full time my cousin encouraged me to come back to Havana, Illinois after already spending a couple of summers doing art here and give this art dream a real shot here. Because of that support, I had the incredible opportunity to do the move & continue to create murals for the City of Havana and surrounding areas and open my own creative studio downtown next to Black Maple Coffee.

Today, Paint Havana hosts:

🎉 Birthday paint parties
🖌️ Team building paint parties
✨ Special events
🏙️ Murals across the region

Now my work is continuing to grow throughout both the Pacific Northwest and the Midwest and I’m loving every minute of it!
