Plums are having their moment! We have three varieties right now from two farms that know their fruit: Shiro from Scott Farm Orchard in Dummerston, VT - a golden yellow, mid-season Japanese plum that is sweet, juicy, and bright. Castleton and Long John plums from Nightingale Farm in Marlboro, NY - two sweet, amber flesh varieties that were introduced to this area in 1993 by Cornell. Stone fruit season is fleeting, enjoy these beauties soon (or dry them for prunes)!

The list is exploding with tomatoes right now. 🍅 And that's no accident! It's the result of sourcing from several farms across our region. This year, the Northeast lost roughly half its peach crop to early season frosts that hit different parts of the region at different intensities. Similarly flooding, which has been a recurring issue in Vermont, is hitting the Hudson Valley this season.

With tomatoes, we're pulling from farms across Western Mass, Northern Vermont, Southern New Hampshire, and even a little bit of Quebec right now - different soils, different microclimates, and different harvest windows, which mean that when one region has a hard week, another is coming in strong. All part of keeping the regional foodshed resilient across inevitable highs and lows.

Check out Nomad Farm Vermont's fresh herbs! Julia started farming in 2013 as a WWOOF intern for an herb grower in Western Massachusetts. From there she spent a year interning across the country on small organic farms, a seventh generation family dairy, an ecologically certified orchard, and more. In 2019 she and her partner purchased their property in Rockingham, VT and began their own organic herb farm rooted in the belief that food and medicine are inseparable, and that feeding the soil feeds everything above it.

Julia has a great selection! We're excited about her Za'atar - the backbone of one of the most important spice blends in Middle Eastern cooking. Hard to find fresh and locally grown in the Northeast. Also on the list: rosemary, sage, Mrhani basil, and more - available both bunched and in retail-ready packaging!

"Cabbage is having a moment." - Ariel. But you don't have to take our word for it... even Vogue declared 2026 the year of the cabbage! Right now we're especially excited about Tendersweet - a flat leaf cabbage variety originally from the Netherlands that has become a staple of Taiwanese cooking for how beautifully it works in a stir fry. With thinner leaves, more delicate texture, and a natural sweetness... it's a whole new world of cabbage.

Ours is coming from : Max and Maria's organic vegetable farm in Hudson, NY. We are so happy to be offering their crop on the list now!

Myers now carries fish! 🎉🐟 We are so proud to finally offer locally harvested, frozen seafood from Red's Best.

Red's Best was founded in 2008 by Jared Auerbach, a Boston fisherman who built a logistics platform to support community-based fishing fleets across the New England coast. Every catch is tracked from the moment it leaves the vessel so you can scan the QR code on the label and trace your fish directly back to the fishing team who caught it.

In Nicole's words: "Doing cold chain logistics is no small feat! The supply chain nerd in me is so excited. It's great to be able to offer this as a regional distributor and engage with the robust aquaculture scene in our region." We're also proud to be working with a company doing so much to steward this region. As Jared writes, "Most people don’t realize this but we are now drastically under-fishing the sustainable limits. In 2022, only 36% of the quotas set for the Mid and North Atlantic were harvested — leaving more than 750 million pounds of sustainable seafood in the ocean."

We're starting with bay scallops, bluefish, monkfish, haddock, skate, and striped bass - with more to come. Looking for something specific? Let us know!

Our friends at Momma's just opened a second spot! Or as the The Boston Globe calls it: "a cubby of curiosities in a bustling location." 🍦

That's our kind of place. Danielle opened Momma's in 2023 and built something really special - New England sourced groceries, maple creemees, and a real treasure chest of food in every square foot they have. The new location at the The Charles River Speedway in Brighton opened last week: cheeses, veggies, snacks, jams, eclectic drinks, and of course... creemees.

Momma's gets our mission and we get theirs. We've loved working with Danielle from the beginning and couldn't be more excited to see this next chapter.

Welcome to the list, Nightingale Farm! Dan and Jacqui Ferrari Heavens' farm, winery, and cidery (aka Quartz Rock Vineyard) is right in the heart of the Hudson Valley. They grow a wide range of fruit including some tough-to-find options: peaches, apples (including local cider varieties), pears, quince, plums, apricots, gooseberries, currants, strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries - all hand-harvested. If you've been looking for Hudson Valley stone fruit or something a little more niche all from a family owned, black owned business... this is your farm! and their peaches are on the list now 🍑
