After many discussions with officials at other tracks and a handful of dedicated and long time racers. We are going with a dirty tire rule for our Scott Awe Memorial race. Drivers must use the same set throughout the event, no washing or grinding.

It will only be enforced for the Clone lite class. Drivers will get their standard hot lap session, instead of heats we are doing an 8 lap practice. Feature running order will be a blind draw, determined at the registration booth.

We believe a dirty tire rule will help even the playing field a bit. We have teams that show up with three sets or more and teams that show up with one set. In the end our goal is to grow the sport, making the sport more affordable is one of the answers.

We would do a one set rule, where teams could still clean and prep. But we do not have the manpower or the stamps to enforce it. Therefore dirty tires are the route.

We are firm believers in transparency and discretion, we value input from our members and racers. We will be having a meeting to discuss a number of things to discuss rule changes. They include but are not limited to:

-a dirty tire rule for all classes
-predator classes for junior and senior drivers
-transitioning to an open tire rule regarding brands

We appreciate your understanding, or your input as well. Our goal is and will always be growth. Thank you
