One of the most treasured plants in my apothecary is Solomonās Seal.
Deep in the shaded woodlands, beneath ferns and moss, grows this graceful plant with arching stems and hidden wisdom. Herbalists have long turned to Solomonās Seal root as an ally for supporting joints, tendons, ligaments, and muscles. Traditionally, it has been used wherever the body feels worn, strained, overworked, or in need of restoration.
In folklore and plant magic, Solomonās Seal is associated with wholeness, protection, and the mending of what has become disconnected. The root itself bears circular scars known as āseals,ā which were said to be the mark of King Solomon, the wise healer and magician. For centuries, it has been considered a plant that helps restore balance and harmony where there has been injury, strain, or depletion.
I infuse Solomonās Seal root into my Pain & Joint Oil alongside mullein, willow bark, St. Johnās wort, and peppermint. Together, these plants create a beautiful herbal blend designed to support tired muscles, stiff joints, and areas that need a little extra care and comfort.
Mullein is often known for its respiratory benefits, but herbalists have also long valued the leaves and flowers for soothing aches, supporting mobility, and bringing comfort to muscles and joints. Willow bark has a rich history of use for discomfort and inflammation, while St. Johnās wort is cherished for supporting nerves and areas that feel tender, tense, or overworked. Peppermint adds a refreshing cooling sensation that makes this oil especially enjoyable to massage into sore areas.
Many of my customers reach for this oil after long days in the garden, strenuous exercise, or to massage areas affected by chronic stiffness, arthritis, muscle tension, and everyday wear and tear.
Every bottle begins with plants gathered respectfully, infused slowly, and crafted with gratitude.
