Heather's Art Studio

Heather's Art Studio Artist, photographer, and writer. I am an award-winning Photojournalist. Heather MacKenzie grew up on Cape Cod and is an artist and photographer.

While attending art school at MassArt, she realized her love of photography and film, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She moved to L.A. to pursue a career in film which led her to a field camera position with ABC in news. She was able to cover many historical events with her award-winning work. She also attained an MFA degree from UCLA while working full-time for the station. Heather paint

s watercolors, finding inspiration from the beauty and glorious light of the Cape. She also developed a style of painting on her photos. Heather’s work can be seen at Local Color Art Gallery in Chatham and at her studio at the Harwich Cultural Center. She occasionally gives workshops, demonstrations and talks on her news career.

With Cape & Plymouth Marketing – I just got recognized as one of their top fans! 🎉The Photojournism Event yesterday, May 9th at the 204 Cultural Art Municipal Bldg in Harwich was a huge success! Every chair was used and we had to add more for the huge attendance. The exhibit is up until May 30 in the Libray Gallery. Come on to see a stunning photography exhibit.
