Hunger Foundation Of Southern Ocean and St. Francis Community Center will be collecting food donations this weekend at the Beach Haven Chowder Cook-Off.

Please consider bringing a nonperishable food item (canned veggies, pasta, peanut butter, oatmeal, etc.) to help support our neighbors experiencing food insecurity!

Thank you for your support! See ya this weekend!

This weekend’s nor’easter left debris throughout our community, and we’re teaming up with local businesses and community members to help care for the island we all love. Register here https://givebutter.com/post-storm-cleanups-cmfixm

Join ALO for a post-storm cleanup at one of these locations:

📍 Friday, October 2 Surf Buggy | 12–3 PM

📍 Saturday, October 3 Wally’s | 9 AM–12 PM Farias, Beach Haven | 9 AM–12 PM

📍 Sunday, October 4 ALO x Renew Blu LBI at The D**e, end of Sunset Blvd in High Bar Harbor | 10 AM–12 PM Surf City Kite Festival cleanup at 8th St Beach | 2–4 PM

Can’t make an organized cleanup? You can still make a difference! Head out for a safe, self-guided cleanup in your own neighborhood or at a public beach. Bring a bag, pick up small pieces of litter you can safely handle, and leave the place a little better than you found it. Every bit helps!

Safety comes first. Storm debris can be more than everyday litter. Never touch sharp objects, exposed wires, chemicals, fuel containers, medical waste, or other potentially hazardous materials. Leave large, heavy, unstable, or waterlogged debris alone, and stay away from downed power lines, damaged structures, floodwater, and unsafe areas. When in doubt, leave it out!

A huge thank you to our participating local businesses and community partners for helping make these cleanups possible. 💙
