Pro Rodeos, Bull Riding & Family Entertainment servicing the Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky & Missouri area! A major advantage of our totally portable system is that we can perform on virtually any size or shape site. Ideally for the arena, holding pens and timed event pens we’d have at least 100 feet in width and 300 feet in length BUT we’ve produced great rodeos with as little as 48 feet in width and as much as 200 feet in width and lengths anywhere from 200 feet to 400 feet. We offer advertising support and can furnish you with a complete promotional package featuring everything you’ll need in a camera-ready format. You’ll also get a checklist of “things to do” prior to your rodeo with a suggested timetable, a list of fun promotional activities you can choose from and a terrific rodeo action DVD. Most importantly, we have a staff of rodeo professionals who are available to answer questions, offer suggestions and just listen to help minimize costs and maximize revenues. Sunny skies. A high near 62°. A full afternoon of professional rodeo action. Today is shaping up to be the perfect autumn Sunday to gather the family and head to Jefferson!

This afternoon is the FINAL RODEO OF THE SEASON and the last stop on Big Hat Rodeo’s 2026 Trailblazer Tour. Come experience the whole show—bucking broncs, barrel racing, bull riding, Halloween fun and the Wild West tradition that has entertained families across the Midwest all season long.

Saturday night gave us one wild ride after another. This afternoon, a new group of cowboys will climb into the chutes, wrap their hands around the bull rope and put everything on the line for eight unforgettable seconds.

Last night, these incredible horse-and-rider teams came flying into the Great Badgerland Pro Rodeo arena. Today, another field of fearless barrel racers will put speed, balance and trust to the test as they chase the fastest time around the cloverleaf.

When the whistle blows and a bronc rider needs a safe way off, the pickup men go to work.

This is longtime Big Hat Rodeo pickup man Darren Murray doing what real cowboys do—quietly stepping into the action, taking care of the rider and the livestock, and getting the job done.

Rain or shine. Cold or heat. Easy night or hard one. Darren and the men and women behind the scenes show up ready every time.

From the pickup men, bullfighters and livestock crews to the chute help, arena crew, announcers, judges, timers, production team and everyone working beyond the spotlight: you are the hands behind the ride. Your skill, grit and dedication make it possible for Big Hat Rodeo to carry this Wild West tradition to communities across the Midwest.
