Had a great meeting yesterday with Mayor Evans and the department heads over the layout, safety, and event schedule. We coordinated our efforts and added some details we had not thought of. We are in the promotional phase of the event, so we'll be posting a digital flyer later today or tomorrow with all the info on it. Feel free to distribute it to your work, social groups, clubs, and church bulletins to help promote the event. We have no idea if 6 or 600 people will come.

It is with a heavy heart that I must announce that the Fourth of July Moonshine tasting and drinking contest has been cancelled. The City's general liability insurance carrier told us "under no circumstances".....

We will have a time capsule vault, donated by Peck Funeral Home, to be opened in 2076 for the 300th birthday of the United States. Bring an item to put in the vault for future Hartselle and America!
